Operation essentials and precautions of clutch and accelerator
The standard for the tacit coordination between the clutch and the accelerator is measured by the smoothness of the vehicle speed after shifting. And in the second subject exam, the main test is the clutch, and stepping on the clutch is the key. There are also many children's shoes that mistakenly use the accelerator as the brake, which is a fatal mistake.

Poor coordination of the clutch and accelerator when starting a car can cause the engine to stall or the car to shake when starting. The engine power is transmitted to the wheels through the clutch, and the distance to the clutch pedal is only about lcm. Therefore, after depressing the clutch pedal and engaging the gear, lift the clutch pedal until the clutch friction plates begin to contact each other. At this position, stop the foot for a moment, and at the same time, fill the fuel door. After the clutch plates fully contact, fully lift the clutch pedal. This is "two quick and one slow", which means that the speed at which the pedal is lifted is slightly faster at both ends and slower in the middle,

2. Two foot clutch operation method
When shifting gears, whether shifting from high gear to low gear or from low gear to high gear, the two foot clutch shift method should be used. When shifting from low gear to high gear (Figure 2-22), it is necessary to quickly and nimbly step down the clutch pedal while releasing the accelerator pedal, and then shift the gear lever into the neutral position. Quickly lift the clutch pedal and then step down. At the same time, shift the gear lever into a higher gear position, lift the clutch pedal, and at the same time, refuel the valve. When the clutch plate first contacts, pause for a moment. After the clutch plate fully contacts, fully lift the clutch pedal.
When shifting from high gear to low gear (Figure 2-23), it is necessary to quickly step down the clutch pedal while releasing the accelerator pedal. Place the gear lever in the neutral position, quickly lift the clutch pedal, and quickly apply a foot of accelerator to immediately release the accelerator pedal (adding empty oil is to increase the engine speed to drive the speed of the transmission driving gear). Then quickly step down the clutch pedal and shift the gear lever to a lower gear position. The entire movement should be rapid, compact, and accurate.
The purpose of using the two foot clutch operation method is to adapt the rotational speed of the intermediate shaft (and the first shaft) to the rotational speed of the second shaft of the transmission when shifting from low gear to high gear. When shifting from high gear to low gear, the use of the two foot clutch operation method is to adapt the rotational speed of the intermediate shaft of the transmission to the rotational speed of the second shaft of the transmission, in order to avoid collisions and noises caused by gear speed mismatch during upshifting and downshifting. This not only allows the vehicle to change speed smoothly, but also extends the service life of the components. Note: To increase the engine speed by adding empty oil, it is necessary to properly control the speed of the vehicle, so that the engine speed matches the vehicle speed, and the coordination must be consistent, otherwise the transmission gear or synchronizer will make a noise.
3. Precautions for operation
(1) When the vehicle is running normally, do not place your foot on the clutch pedal.
(2) When driving, do not use a semi linkage clutch. If a semi linkage is required under special circumstances, shorten the semi linkage time as much as possible to prevent burning the clutch friction plate.

(3) Due to the advancement of automotive manufacturing technology, the two foot clutch operation method is generally no longer used in cars or some models with transmission synchronizers. However, it is still necessary to use it in special circumstances, such as downhill and muddy ice and snow roads, when it is necessary to quickly lower the gear for driving.
(4) The clutch should not be lifted too fast. Generally, first gear is the slowest, while other forward gears should be slightly faster. When starting from first gear, the clutch pedal must be pressed to the bottom. When continuing to upshift, the clutch pedal can be pressed until the clutch friction plate is separated, and the gear can be shifted. It is not necessary to press the clutch pedal to the bottom.
(5) When using the clutch pedal, you should step on the clutch pedal at the sole of your foot before. You cannot step on the clutch pedal at the center of your foot, as it is difficult to fully step on the pedal when using the center of your foot, which can affect starting and shifting operations. Also, do not step on the clutch pedal with your toes to prevent it from slipping.
